Privacy Policy

The Southern Tier Aviation Initiative (“STAI,” “we,” “us”) collects as little information as possible. This policy explains what we collect on this website, why, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

Information you give us. When you sign up for project updates or send a message through our contact form, we collect what you enter, such as your name, email address, and message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records basic technical data when you visit. This can include your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you view. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see overall traffic trends, such as which pages are popular. It doesn’t use cookies or track you across other websites, and we don’t use it to identify you personally.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Send you the project updates you signed up for
  • Respond to your questions or messages
  • Keep the site secure and working properly
  • Understand how people use the site so we can improve it

3. Cookies

The site uses only the cookies needed to run and protect it, such as security cookies set by Cloudflare. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as expected.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the site:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts and secures the website
  • Formspree, which processes our website forms and sends submissions to our email inbox

We may also share information if the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information until you ask to be removed or we no longer need it. Formspree may also store copies of form submissions under its own privacy policy. Technical logs are kept only as long as our hosting and analytics providers need them for security and reporting.

6. Your choices

  • Stop getting updates: Reply to any update email or email us, and we’ll remove you.
  • See, correct, or delete your information: Email us at [email protected] and we’ll take care of it.

7. Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we’ll remove it.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) connection. No website is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here and change the effective date at the top.
